I’m currently 46 years young and most days I wear absolutely no make-up on my face.
My secrets to beautiful skin have less to do with what you put on the outside, and more to do with what you put on the inside. Every single month, your body creates brand new skin. However, your body can only create with what it’s been given. Give your body the best…and your skin will look it’s best!
SECRET #1 ABDOMINAL MASSAGE and STRETCH!
When you wake up in the morning, while still in bed, take a few moments to give yourself and abdominal massage and simple stretch. To do this massage, place your hands on your lower abdomen. Gently, yet firmly, move your hands over to the right and then up the right side of your tummy. (Moving up on the right side supports your ascending colon) Next, move your hands over to the left and then down on the left side of your tummy. (Moving down on the left side supports the descending colon) Repeat the massage in a circular motion 5-10 times while breathing deeply. By massaging in the direction of your large intestine, you help to move out toxins and waste, which leads to clearer, brighter skin!
Next hug your right knee into your chest for 5 to 10 breaths. Then switch and hug your left knee into your chest for 5 to 10 breaths. This stretch is great to release your lower back and hips. Plus, like the massage, it helps to support your digestive system by moving waste out! Remember to do the right side first, and then the left. Bye bye toxins…hello gorgeous skin!
SECRET #2 DRINK HOT OR WARM WATER AND LEMON!
One of the best things you can do for beautiful skin and radiant health is to hydrate and cleanse first thing in the morning. No worries if you’re a coffee lover! Just try drinking hot or warm water and lemon first. This will hydrate your body and cleanse your system. And when I say cleanse…I mean cleanse. The hot water and lemon will most likely cause you to move your bowels and release built up toxins so you feel (and look) lighter and brighter! Please use organic lemons whenever possible.
There are several simple recipes you can use:
- 8oz – 32oz straight up hot/warm water and ½ – 1 lemon.
- 8oz -32oz hot/warm water and lemon with a table spoon of apple cider vinegar to reduce inflammation and ward off colds.
- 8oz – 32oz hot/warm water and lemon, plus a ½ tea spoon of cayenne pepper to help improve digestion.
- 8oz – 32oz hot/warm water and lemon plus your favorite essential oils for additional health benefits.
Note: You can add honey (preferably high grade & raw) to any of these recipes. High grade raw honey is anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and helps to: reduce the risk of some forms of cancer/disease, improve the immune system, remove free-radicals, aid in weight loss, and maintain blood sugar levels.
SECRET #3 EAT AND DRINK WHOLE FOODS!
Hey, we all have our vices…those foods and drinks we know may not be the healthiest but we can’t live without!
